UK Market Benchmarks
Real sector statistics computed from official Companies House filings
- Every figure on this page is computed directly from data filed with Companies House, the UK registrar of companies. Sample sizes are shown next to each metric. A metric is only displayed when at least 5 companies have the relevant data (marked n<5 otherwise). Financial figures (turnover, employees) are only shown where extracted from electronically filed iXBRL accounts, never estimated.
- Statistics computed from active UK companies in the Companies House registry. Registration/age data covers all analysed companies. Financial figures (turnover, profit, employees) are only shown where extracted from official filed iXBRL accounts and sample size ≥ 5.

- Medium sized European businesses sold for about 8.6× their profit in Q1 2026, according to the Argos Mid-Market Index, which tracks completed sales and is published by Argos Wityu. View the European table for sector estimates and source classifications.
- The index only covers businesses inside the eurozone that are not listed on a stock exchange, worth between 15 million and 500 million euros, where the buyer took control rather than a minority stake. Each figure is a rolling median over six months. Three industries are left out of the index entirely: financial services, real estate, and high technology. Argos does not collect them, so any figure we show for those industries is ours alone and is not supported by this source. Argos publishes one figure covering all industries together. It does not publish a separate figure for any single industry, so every per industry number on this platform is our own estimate worked out from that one figure, not something Argos published. No country adjustment is made to this eurozone reference multiple. It is a published index, not verified transaction data that MANDA holds.

- The instant benchmark gives you an indicative value range in under 60 seconds, measured against completed sales of medium sized European businesses. The full valuation takes about 5 minutes, uses your own financials and shows up to four methods. Both are free. Both are indicative estimates, not a formal appraisal.
- The one success fee we intend to charge applies only when a deal closes. Provisional. No engagement letter has been drafted yet, so this is how we intend to charge rather than terms you can hold us to.
