Ask a listed advisor for a call. A person answers.
Every firm in the advisor directory takes call requests. You say what you want to discuss and when you could talk, the firm reads it, and a person there accepts one of your times, proposes others or declines. Both of you see the answer. Nothing is arranged until they answer, and MANDA is not a party to the call.
- What a call request is
- A stored request with a history, a notified advisor, and an answer you can see. Nothing is written into anyone's agenda, no line is placed for you, and nothing is sold.
- A request from the directory entry, or one MANDA routes
- Each advisor's entry in the directory has a Request a call button. If you do not know who to ask, one link asks MANDA to suggest an advisor: a person here reads your topic and assigns a listed firm, and the firm is told in the same way a direct request tells them. You write the topic in your own words and give up to 3 time windows in your own time zone, within the next 90 days.
- An advisor who is told, and a record of whether the telling worked
- The firm's owner and team see the request in the advisor portal and in the bell in the header, and the owner is emailed. The email provider's answer is written on the request as it came back, so your own account shows whether the advisor was emailed or whether the email could not be delivered. A refused send is never shown to you as sent.
- Three possible answers, from a person
- The advisor accepts one of your times, proposes up to 3 others, or declines, and can add a note that reaches you word for word. If they propose other times you accept one or withdraw. When a time is agreed, each of you has the other's email address, and how you connect is between you.
- Status on both sides, with the history kept
- Your account lists every request you have sent with its current status: waiting, accepted, other times proposed, declined or withdrawn. The advisor portal lists the ones waiting for the firm's answer and the ones already answered. Every change is a dated event on the request, so the record shows who did what and when.
- From a directory entry to an agreed time
- You send the request
- Signed in, from the advisor's entry or the suggest link. Topic and time windows are checked on your screen and again on the server; one open request per advisor at a time, so nobody receives the same ask twice.
- The advisor and MANDA staff are told
- The firm gets portal, bell and email notice; MANDA staff get exactly one alert per request, claimed on the row before it is sent so a retry can never send a second. Staff also see, for each request, whether the advisor's email went.
- A person at the firm answers
- Accept a time, propose others or decline, with an optional note. Two people at the same firm cannot both answer: the first answer closes the request to the second.
- You see the answer and finish the exchange
- The bell and an email tell you the outcome. If other times were proposed you accept one or withdraw. You can withdraw a request at any point before or after it is accepted, and the advisor is told.
- What the page and the emails are built from
- Every status and every sentence about delivery is read from the stored request, never inferred from the fact that something was attempted.
- The request row and its events
- Topic, time windows, time zone, the advisor named or assigned, the current status and who set it. Each change appends a dated event with the actor's role, and the events are what the history on staff screens shows.
- The delivery record
- The provider's answer to the advisor email is stored as sent, refused, no address held, or no advisor yet, with the time. The staff alert stores the time it was delivered, or nothing if no channel accepted it. The line under a request in your account is composed from these fields and only these.
- The directory entry the request came from
- The advisor's listing and its grade are as the directory page describes them: scored on deals completed, success rate, time to close and reviews written by the firm's own clients. A call request does not change a grade, and this page does not vouch for the firm beyond what its entry says.
- Software stores and tells. People decide.
- What it stores, records and drafts
- Stores the request and every change to it, with a timestamp and the role of whoever made it.
- Notifies the firm through the portal, the bell and email, and records the provider's answer on the row.
- Alerts MANDA staff once per request, and refuses to answer a request twice or out of order.
- Shows each side the status the other side set, and nothing more than that.
- What only a person does
- The advisor reads the topic and decides whether and when to talk.
- MANDA staff choose an advisor for a request that named none, and watch the delivery record.
- You and the advisor agree how to connect once a time is accepted; that part is not run by this platform.
- Find the advisor and ask.
- Browse the directory, open a firm's entry and send a request. If you would rather MANDA suggested someone, the same page has that link.
